Managed all aspects of the theater operations (with 75 employees, $2 million in sales) including customer service/relations,  marketing, sales, food/beverage management, production/lighting/sound design, stage management and acting. Created sales and marketing plans, implemented email marketing/social media campaigns which engaged customers and increased sales.  Recruited, screened, and hired employees, contractors, and support staff to ensure that customers received excellent service.  Handled all customer service and employee relation issues.  Developed web presence and maximized performance/venue exposure.  Developed original entertainment and presented shows at various venues.

Highlights:

  • Developed marketing and sales plan including direct mail advertising, social media marketing, Groupon campaign, and Constant Contact email marketing which doubled season ticket sales and produced up to a 1,000% return on the marketing investment.
  • Results from the sales and marketing plan included: 35% increase in holiday ticket sales, 100% growth of patrons on the email/direct marketing mailing lists, and 12% growth in ticket revenue from 2009 to 2010.
  • The December 2010 Holiday show set the gross revenue record for all shows while having to deal with the loss of two directors during the performance.
  • Recruited and trained customer facing staff.  Implemented box office procedures and VOIP phone system which streamlined processes and minimized reservation expenses.
  • Created targeted marketing campaigns which incentivized patrons to return to the dinner theater producing a 10-fold payback on the direct mail expenses.
  • Initiated changes which cut operating expenses and drove revenue to turn around the profit/loss of the organization.

Managed all aspects of technical trades shows. Successfully managed international implementations of state-of-the-art Computer Aided Graphics technology for clients.  Worked with all levels of the organization to implement process, operational, and cost saving improvements.

Highlights:

  • Identified, designed and implemented process improvement strategies that realized a cost saving of $7.00 per desktop scanner sold and an annual savings of $1,000,000.
  • Coordinated all trade show activities for the Computer Aided Graphics Software Division.  Developed demonstrations and set-up workstations showcasing the cutting edge technology of the company’s software.
  • Identified, designed, and implemented operational procedures which sped up the testing process for desktop scanners and interface cards.  Trained production associates in testing and proper anti-static procedures.
  • Awarded (4) rounds of incentive stock options in recognition for exceeding division marketing goals and objectives.
  • Selected to be part of the team that investigated the first HP color copier.
